Meet Our Advisory Board:
Father James Boric shares with the governing board of Chesterton Academy of the Divine Family a priestly perspective shaped by deep Eucharistic devotion and pastoral leadership. Ordained in 2014 for the Archdiocese of Baltimore after an earlier career in financial services, he has served in parish ministry, including as rector of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where he expanded perpetual adoration and launched outreach initiatives to the poor and young adults. Known for his commitment to prayer and contemplative life, he later stepped away to pursue deeper spiritual formation before returning to parish leadership. He currently serves as Pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hagerstown and chaplain to St. Mary’s Catholic School, and previously assisted Maria Goretti High School during its final academic year. As an ex-officio advisory board member, Father Boric supports the Academy’s mission to form students in faith, virtue, and a love for Christ at the heart of authentic Catholic education.
