Mr. Bechtel offers the governing board of Chesterton Academy of the Divine Family a perspective shaped by lifelong formation in Catholic education and a deep commitment to strengthening Catholic education in his community. A graduate of The Catholic University of America with a degree in Computer Science, he has built a professional career in technology, serving in software engineering roles with Raytheon Technologies and now Mastercard. His experience teaching children introductory programming and working with Catholic organizations reflects both technical skill and a heart for service. Having witnessed firsthand the impact of Catholic education in his own life, he is passionate about helping establish a strong, faithful high school in the Catholic tradition in Hagerstown. He contributes energy, technological insight, and a desire to help form young men and women into confident, faith-filled leaders for the future.
