Meet Our Faculty:
Dr. Dyllis S. Mbah Minang brings a unique blend of healthcare, education, administration, and faith-based leadership to Chesterton Academy of the Divine Family. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Services Research from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as an M.S. in Public/Community Health Nursing and a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University.
Dr. Minang serves as the Senior Vice President of Population Health at Optimal Health Care, Inc., where she oversees strategic initiatives for improving clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness across diverse healthcare settings. She has also led large-scale program development, including state-contracted nurse monitoring, health risk screenings, and case management for medically fragile populations.
Prior to her executive leadership role, Dr. Minang worked extensively as a clinical director, registered nurse, program supervisor at the Washington County Health Department, and nursing educator in long-term care and hospital settings. Her clinical background includes cardiology, HIV/AIDS case management, and elder care.
Dr. Minang is a licensed Registered Nurse, a certified CPR and First Aid Instructor, and has completed multiple leadership and clinical certifications. She is the founder and president of Circle of Trust Inc., a nonprofit organization supporting immigrant families, and actively serves in Catholic women’s ministry. Her expertise in health systems, education, and family ministry strengthens the mission and Catholic identity of Chesterton Academy of the Divine Family.
